You can't go wrong with the classic pairing of London and Paris—just under 2.5 hours apart via the Eurostar train. Enjoy the bustling streets of London, take in the iconic sights, then hop on the train to experience the romantic charm of Paris.


This iconic duo is perfect for travelers seeking the ultimate European city break, where both cultures come alive.


 


Paris, France - Brussels, Belgium



Kick off your journey in the City of Lights. Paris is full of iconic sights, from the Eiffel Tower to the world-famous Louvre Museum. Just 1.5 hours away by Thalys high-speed train is Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Known for its stunning architecture, rich history, and indulgent chocolates, it's a delightful addition to your itinerary.


This pairing is perfect for visitors eager to experience both French and Belgian cultures in just one trip. Did you know Brussels is home to over 2,000 chocolate shops? You’ll have plenty of tasty treats to dive into!



 

Paris, France - Luxembourg, Luxembourg


Consider a trip to Luxembourg City, which is a quick 2-hour train ride from Paris. Here you will find a striking mix of modern and medieval architecture amidst steep cliffs and a lush landscape.


The chance to enjoy Paris's vibrant atmosphere while experiencing Luxembourg's peaceful charm in this pairing is exceptional. The capital has been consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in Europe, making it an excellent choice for a stress-free getaway.

In Brussels, you can explore the Grand Place, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and enjoy local dishes such as steamed mussels or famous Belgian fries.


Conversely, Luxembourg provides serene views and the opportunity to stroll through its picturesque streets and fortifications. Make sure to visit the Bock Casemates, a network of tunnels with stunning views.


We personally recommend exploring both cities in December, when the cities become alive with the magic of Christmas, with events, rides for the kids, and delicious food.



 

Brussels, Belgium - Amsterdam, Netherlands


The journey from Amsterdam to Brussels is about 2 hours by train. Enjoy Amsterdam’s famous canals and vibrant nightlife before discovering Brussels’ historic sights such as the Atomium and Manneken Pis.


Don’t forget to savor Belgian waffles in Brussels and appreciate the artistic atmosphere that permeates Dutch culture in Amsterdam.


 

Prague, Czechia - Vienna, Austria


Prague, renowned for its stunning architecture and historic Old Town, pairs beautifully with the imperial elegance of Vienna. The two cities are about 4 hours apart by train, making it easy to dive into both Czech and Austrian cultures in a single trip.


Frequent trains between these destinations allow for a smooth journey. Don't miss experiencing a traditional Austrian coffee house in Vienna or exploring Prague's charming Charles Bridge.

Wroclaw is celebrated for its colorful buildings and whimsical Gnome statues. It is located just 3 hours from Prague by train. This vibrant Polish city offers a contrasting experience, and you will fall in love with its unique squares and bridges.


While in Wroclaw, try the local dish called "Pierogi," which are Polish dumplings filled with various fillings such as potatoes or cheese.



 

Prague, Czechia - Krakow, Poland



About a 6-hour train ride away from the magical city of Prague is Krakow, Poland. After soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and stunning architecture of Prague, you'll find Krakow, Poland’s crown jewel, just a short distance away.


In Prague, don't miss the stunning Old Town, where you'll find the medieval Astronomical Clock and the iconic Charles Bridge. Make sure to visit the majestic Wawel Castle in Krakow, known for its stunning Renaissance architecture. And the lively Main Market Square is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll along vibrant cafés and shops.
